Husband took me here for Valentines Day dinner. It was our first visit And I was a little skeptical. This place looks like a hole in the wall with not much parking available. I ordered steak fajitas and hubby had pork carnitas, both were excellent! I'm particularly fond of their salsa. I could eat this stuff with a spoon! When or check came, the waitress delivered a red Rose For Valentines which was a pleasant surprise! We'll definitely be back.

If I could give zero stars I would. I don't know what happened to this place... I decided to go for lunch since it had been a while since I went before. The service was just as disappointing as the food. I feel like I wasted money going there. I'm definitely never going back.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The map places it way farther from Coos Bay than it actually is. It's just south of town in the Bunker Hill area. Chili relleno was excellent, without too much breading. Beef taco tasted great. One star off for insufficient parking, I drive a big truck, and got blocked in. But the food is definitely worth stopping for. Authentic Mexican fare at reasonable prices.

We were passing through town and saw this had great reviews. We mentioned we are vegan and they totally hooked us up with a grilled veggie burrito with enchilada sauce on top! Too DIE for! Great friendly service thanks Brandi and Jennifer!

The chili verde is excellent and is spicy like it should be. Rice & beans very good as well. Have been coming here for quite a few years now and have never had a bad experience. Can't wait to come back again!

Doesn't look like much from the outside, except for some hanging plants. However, food was fantastic and prices reasonable. The owner had his kids working there and they are very polite and gave good service. We even got free poppers and desert. We came away completely stuffed and a little tipsy from the pitcher of margaritas and poppers. Nice atmosphere, generous meals, great food, reasonable price. We will definitely be back.

From the outside this place looks sketch but we were surprised that it was so good. The chips and salsa were very fresh along with the rest of their food. Everything is scratch made and you can taste it . Best chili Verde sauce ever ! Great prices and the menu had a lot of variety. Service was on point as well.

Have eaten here 3 times, every time we have been here ,we were the only ones there which is kind of scary in itself. The wait person didn't speak enough English to get orders right. There was a child running all over the place and I had Chili Colorado's and there was a half inch grease ring around my food. I also had a chili Rellano when I bit into it was like squirt gum except with grease. Will not be going back.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
